Access

To access TxDOTCONNECT, external partners should take the following steps:

  1. Complete and sign Form 1828b (Security Form).
  2. Send the signed form to TxDOTCONNECT and include the following information in your email:
    • Your first and last name
    • Previously assigned user ID(s)
    • Company name
    • Work phone
    • Mobile phone
    • Work address
    • Email address
    • Professional engineer license type
    • Professional engineer license number
    • Professional engineer valid from date
    • Professional engineer valid to date
    • Requested security role
    • Assigned districts
  3. You will receive an email from TxDOT security with your user ID and initial password.
  4. Once you have provided your user ID and password, the TxDOTCONNECT help desk will confirm access to the system and notify you to begin using TxDOTCONNECT.
  5. To request to modify a security role or assigned districts, send the request to TxDOTCONNECT with the following information:
    • Your first and last name
    • User ID
    • Company name
    • Email address
    • Requested security role
    • Assigned districts
  6. To request for a user ID to be disabled in TxDOTCONNECT, email TxDOTCONNECT with the following information:
    • User's first and last name
    • User ID
    • Company name
    • Email address
    • Request for disablement
    • Requestor’s first and last name

Training for External Partners

Right of Way and Utilities Consultants (including ROWAPS and Surveyors)

  • TxDOT will provide several opportunities for live training and training materials to support Right of Way and Utilities Consultants who will access TxDOTCONNECT. Roadshows are the first opportunity to see new functionality before training. 

Engineer’s Estimate

  • TxDOT provides training materials to support engineering consultants who access TxDOTCONNECT. The training materials include reference guides, job aids and interactive training modules designed for consultants who work with the Engineer’s Estimate.
