Purpose: The open house will update the public about the study for a proposed high-performance rail service between Fort Worth and Dallas. The project envisions a faster, limited-stop rail service that could connect possible future high-speed rail lines currently being planned for both cities. The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) are conducting the environmental study for the project.
Description: The meeting will focus on potential track locations in or near Fort Worth, Haltom City, Richland Hills, Euless, Irving, Arlington, Grand Prairie and Dallas. The project team will share citizen feedback from the public scoping meetings held in late 2014. No formal presentation will be provided; citizens may come and go at their convenience.
