Westbound Entrance Ramp From University Dr. to be Rebuilt
FORT WORTH – Work began this week on the reconstruction of the University Drive westbound entrance ramp to Interstate 30. The project will rebuild the existing entrance ramp bridge with a new bridge deck.
To accommodate this reconstruction, the ramp will be closed through this fall. Motorists can access westbound I-30 at the Montgomery Street entrance ramp.
During bridge demolition, the I-30 westbound exit to Montgomery Street will also be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. through March, weather permitting. Westbound motorists can access Montgomery Street by exiting at Hulen Street, cross over I-30, and then travel eastbound on the frontage road to Montgomery Street.
The project was awarded to Iowa Bridge & Culvert, LC for $1 million. It is estimated for completion this fall.
