PARIS – Texas Department of Transportation officials today announced that a pipe replacement project on FM 120 at Pawpaw Hill in Denison will begin Aug. 19.

Highway 19 Construction LLC, Sulphur Springs, Texas, was awarded the contract for this project valued at more than $680,000. The target date for completion of this work is November 2019, officials said.

This project will occasionally require lane or shoulder closures while repairs are underway, officials said. They advised motorists who travel frequently in this area to use alternate routes while this work is underway.

Motorists who travel in this area should also remain alert and pay special attention to all signs, barricades and traffic controls, and reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems.
